Melonie and Ryan - Fort McMurray Wedding

I make roughly two trips to my home town every year for weddings or family shoots.  Fort McMurray is a town like no other as it's nestled in this wonderful river valley with two grand rivers merging near the downtown center.  Each and every time I venture up the highway I wonder what will be different this time and what type of experience it will be.

This trip was for Ryan and Melonies' wedding and the moment Jesse, Leslie and I walked into to meet up with guys in the morning and found that they were half dressed with only their suspenders and a tie to greet me, we knew this was going to be a fun wedding!  

Melonie and Ryan had this great vibe about them.  They both laugh a lot and they both smile a lot.  Those types of things truly make my job both easier and fun.  I truly hope I gave you two the wedding pictures you dreamt of and that when you look back at them many years from now you can see how wonderful an experience your day was!

Jamie and Tatjana are expecting

Tatjana and Jamie are expecting their first born baby in the next few months and we all got out for a nice afternoon shoot to immortalize the experience.  Jamie and I play hockey together here in Edmonton and I think Jamie was quite impressed with the fact that I stay on my feet much more outside than I do the ice. 

It's always such fun to shoot pregancy shots.  There is something very exciting about the parents to be, something that I sometimes forget that my wife and I went through when Wynter was still hiding out.(haha)  There is a genuine glow that both Jamie and Tatjana had and I really hope Jesse and I were able to capture it.

Congratulations you two and I'll see you on the ice in a few weeks!

Casey and Oliver

What a fun shoot we had in St. Albert this past week-end.  Casey and her little man Oliver met us at the Red Willow skate park and we all sat and watched as the kids showed us there stuff.  I did feel older and less cool this time around, as Oliver looked with admiration at the kids skateboards and the tricks they pulled off, and my brother and I looked at their decks and thought, "wow, those are great looking dollies for the video camera".  It happened so fast!haha

We really did have fun, and I could tell that Oliver is going to to be a skater one day, and with mom dressing him in those Etnies, it won't be long.

New Finao Album!!!

I got in my first studio sample from Finao and boy was I impressed.  This Album rocks!  I decided to get one of the larger albums, this one being 12 inches by 18 inches with the Armour cover and Leather binding.  This is truly an album that has to be seen and touched.

The London Wedding

Another great day up in Fort McMurray where the sky was open and the sun was beating down on us.  I always like going home to Fort McMurray to shoot, it's one of the most wonderful places in Alberta filled with the rivers, trails and it's always so lush.  I like to think we incorporated all of those elements in this wedding.  Thanks so much Jamie and Jess for having me!!
