Melonie and Ryan - Fort McMurray Wedding

I make roughly two trips to my home town every year for weddings or family shoots.  Fort McMurray is a town like no other as it's nestled in this wonderful river valley with two grand rivers merging near the downtown center.  Each and every time I venture up the highway I wonder what will be different this time and what type of experience it will be.

This trip was for Ryan and Melonies' wedding and the moment Jesse, Leslie and I walked into to meet up with guys in the morning and found that they were half dressed with only their suspenders and a tie to greet me, we knew this was going to be a fun wedding!  

Melonie and Ryan had this great vibe about them.  They both laugh a lot and they both smile a lot.  Those types of things truly make my job both easier and fun.  I truly hope I gave you two the wedding pictures you dreamt of and that when you look back at them many years from now you can see how wonderful an experience your day was!

Colin and Michelle's E-session

Jesse and I met up with Colin and Michelle just last week and made our way to downtown Edmonton for our session.  These two are gearing up for a Las Cabos wedding next year and they couldn't be more excited.  We wish you two all the best and I'm very flattered you gave me the call to do this session and here is a few shots for you two to share!

Jamie and Tatjana are expecting

Tatjana and Jamie are expecting their first born baby in the next few months and we all got out for a nice afternoon shoot to immortalize the experience.  Jamie and I play hockey together here in Edmonton and I think Jamie was quite impressed with the fact that I stay on my feet much more outside than I do the ice. 

It's always such fun to shoot pregancy shots.  There is something very exciting about the parents to be, something that I sometimes forget that my wife and I went through when Wynter was still hiding out.(haha)  There is a genuine glow that both Jamie and Tatjana had and I really hope Jesse and I were able to capture it.

Congratulations you two and I'll see you on the ice in a few weeks!

Ashley and Todd E-session

When Ashley called me up and said I have a few cool ideas for an Engagement shoot my ears perked!  Ashley is a personal fitness instructor who also runs bootcamps and Todd runs Vanquish MX  and both of them brought a lot of energy to our shoot and I think the results were fantastic.

It was a really fun night that started with a cup of coffee and brainstorming ideas that ended in the dark of night with the neon lights as background.  You two rocked!  Jesse and I had so much fun with the shoot and we can't wait for your wedding.

A special thanks to the Hotel Macdonald again for the use of the facilities, it's always a fun time in there.

I was one of the bridesmaids for the Pelley Wedding and I saw the picture teaser that you put up. I just want to say its beautiful. As well, you are an amazing photographer. I have been in TONS of weddings and you are by far the most original, easy going and fun photographer I've ever had the pleasure of being in a photoshoot with.
You are definitley going to be recommended to the rest of my friends getting married and *crosses fingers* maybe one day at my own lol.

I can't wait to post all the art from last week-ends wedding here in Edmonton at the Hotel Macdonald and I'm so glad you loved the teasers we gave to you.  Emilie and Jamie you two made our day!  Non stop laughing, an incredible wedding party, a wonderful venue and Jolyn from Nuance Occaisons really made this a day to remember.  

It was so nice to hear such kind words for everyone, but you guys did all the work, we just made sure to keep up! :)
