Melonie and Ryan - Fort McMurray Wedding

I make roughly two trips to my home town every year for weddings or family shoots.  Fort McMurray is a town like no other as it's nestled in this wonderful river valley with two grand rivers merging near the downtown center.  Each and every time I venture up the highway I wonder what will be different this time and what type of experience it will be.

This trip was for Ryan and Melonies' wedding and the moment Jesse, Leslie and I walked into to meet up with guys in the morning and found that they were half dressed with only their suspenders and a tie to greet me, we knew this was going to be a fun wedding!

Melonie and Ryan had this great vibe about them.  They both laugh a lot and they both smile a lot.  Those types of things truly make my job both easier and fun.  I truly hope I gave you two the wedding pictures you dreamt of and that when you look back at them many years from now you can see how wonderful an experience your day was!

Enjoy your Thanksgiving on the coast!

As always I want to make a special thanks to my good friend and talented Photographer Leslie Brown.  Leslie just gets better and better and I love shooting with her.

Another special thanks to the Radisson  Hotel in Fort McMurray.   Such a lovely setting for our group lunch and photo's.

    Awesome!

Don't be afraid to be different!

I saw this, and so did over six million others.  What a fun idea!

Pam and Tony - Calgary Wedding

Nestled just outside of Calgary is a beautiful little town called Priddus.  I had only driven by this little berg up until Pam and Tonys wedding but I wish I had stopped in sooner.  Pam's parents were host to this wonderful wedding which was set atop thier land facing the valley and their horses.  It was such a lovely setting for their day.

Normally we wish for mild or warm weather and it's possible that we wished to hard as it may very well have been the hottest day of the summer.  Even though the temperature climbed to roughly 36 degrees the photos were no sweat at all!  (terrible pun).  I want to thank Pam and Tony for having us on such a fun day which was filled with laughter and I hope you love the images for ever!

Warm hearts on a cold day.

I can honestly say that the wedding that Leslie Brown and I shot this week-end was easily the coldest one.  Leslie is extremely talented and has shot with me on numerous occasions and really helped me out on this brisk January day.

We had weather that would make a polar bear hide.  With the mercury dropping to levels near -40C it didn't stop Christie and Matt from gearing up for a small shoot in the Winter Wonderland.  I'm very impressed with how wonderful the shots came out and how strong Christie was to bear the cold.  Even as our fingers became lifeless the newlywed couple smiled and laughed and put on a happy face for our session.  Matt and Christie, you truly had a Fort McMurray winter wedding.  Congratulations to the both of you and I can't wait to go through all these shots for you both.

    Chantal and Mike

What a truly lovely setting!  This wedding was shot at the Winspear and the Hotel Macdonald, and the venues worked out perfect.  Chantal and Mike couldn't have had a better afternoon, with the sun blasting through the clouds we got just the right amount of great weather.  A great bridal party and an easy going couple made this wedding a treat to shoot.  I was also very lucky to have my brother Jesse Nash as a second shooter.  With his background in video and independent movies, he's a great asset and brings a new vision to these events!

A very special thanks to the staff at the Hotel Macdonald and of course Emilie and Jolyn from Nuance Occasions who really did a tonne of work to make this wedding look as fabulous as it did.
