Kelowna Wedding Photographer - Blake and Sara
Thursday, December 3, 2009 at 8:31AM British Columbia in the fall, what more could you ask for? Well how about a wedding at one of BC's finest vineyards, Summerhill. For me personally this was a very special wedding as one year earlier I had shot Chantal and Mike's wedding here in Edmonton and I guess I did a good enough job to warrant her brother Blakes wedding to Sara.
I was very fortunate on this occasion to have my good friend Fran Chelico shoot with me. Fran is an outstanding photographer from Vancouver. What I most enjoy about her work is her feminine touch, vision and understanding. Let's face it, I'm a guy and I see things very differently, but having been able to shoot with people like Fran and Leslie Brown this past year has really opened my "dude eyes" to how women feel and see on their wedding. I really think I learned a lot from these experiences that I'll take with me to every new wedding I shoot.
This was equally as beautiful as his sisters wedding, waking up to a warm sunny day we were welcomed to the Robert home where the Katz and Robert families gathered prior to the wedding. I really enjoy watching the parents during these moments as every expression is so intense. I forget how powerful that day is for a parent and I'm reminded of my own mother and father and how proud they were at my own wedding.
The pictures will walk you through the entire day but I have to mention once more how gracious both families were to us. I always want the friends and families to know that we appreciate it so very much. It's quite a day and we work very hard to make the moments count and it is always such a blessing to have helping hands through out the day. And speaking of helping hands, thanks so much to Ria and Danielle from Stage Right Etc who really created a beautiful setting and a wonderful experience for everyone.
Please enjoy the images and thanks so very much again for everything. It truly was a wedding to remember...in fact I may have a hard time getting the game at the reception out of my head!haha
